
As people are becoming more
health conscious, the popularity and business viability of fast food franchises are becoming more uncertain. The high incidence of
diabetes mellitus disease, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer ailments among the first-world population can be correlated to the high consumption of cholesterol-saturated and salt-saturated food offered by the fast food restaurants. However, this trend is gradually being checked. Some fast food restaurants are now offering healthy and gourmet-quality food products. This is either because of the dictate of conscience or simply the dictate of market demands.
Here is a sample of fish recipe which can be a good and healthy alternative to fast food. This one is called
Alaska Salmon Stir-Fry. You will need the following ingredients:
1 (3-ounce) package Oriental flavor ramen noodle soup
1 (14.75-ounce) can Alaska salmon, chunked and reserving liquid
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups cold water
2 tablespoons to 3 soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (16-ounce) package frozen mixed stir-fry vegetables
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts or 1 (15-ounce) can baby corn, drained
Cook ramen noodles and drain. Blend cornstarch, seasoning packet from noodles, water, salmon liquid and other ingredients. Cook and stir until mixture boils. Add frozen stir-fry vegetables and water chestnuts. Stir fry for three minutes. Add salmon, cook for one minute. Add noodles and sauce.
